The final whistle goes and Arsenal's title chances are still alive. First-half goals from Danny Welbeck and Alex Iwobi have won it for the Gunners, who looked more energetic and more defensively organised than they have for some time. At Goodison Park it finishes Everton 0, Arsenal 2.

The Everton fans are heading for the exits. This has not been a good afternoon for the Toffees. The early goal knocked the stuffing out of them and they have failed to create anything close to a clear-cut chance since.

Giroud is picked out in the box, but his drilled shot only finds the side-netting.

We're into five minutes of stoppage time at the end of the game.

Lukaku tests Ospina with a speculative effort from distance.

Right on cue, Iwobi makes a real hash of a counter-attacking opportunity, playing the ball straight out play. Alexis Sanchez tried to keep it in, but ended up vaulting the advertising hoardings and had a sit down alongside the Everton fans. No, I'm not making that up.

Iwobi has been good today, showing flashes of real quality and offering a lot of energy.

Giroud heads home from a corner, but he pushed his marker over and the goal is not allowed to stand. 2-0 it remains.

Giroud tries to play Sanchez through, but the pass wasn't on and he gets away with it thanks to a Jagielka clearance behind for a corner.

Funes Mori trips Giroud off the ball just outside the area, but the ref waves plan on. The Arsenal players are furious about the decision... and they have a point.

Arsenal are in cruise control here. Everton are offering very little.

"Theo, Theo, Theo," comes the chant from the travelling fans. Walcott remains on the bench.

It's a double change for Arsenal, but Ospina stays on. Ozil is hobbling so makes way and the excellent Welbeck is also replaced. It's Giroud and Gibbs who come on.

Everton make their second change, replacing Barkley with Deulofeu.
