One final attack, one final deflected Kone shot and it's all over at Goodison Park. Everton had the better of this game but almost came away with nothing against Crystal Palace in a second half that ebbed and flowed thrillingly, and in the end the spoils are rightly shared between two of the Premier League's in-form sides.

Danger moment for Palace as Lukaku looks to cut onto his left foot in the box, but McArthur gets a vital foot in.

CHANCE: Mutch dispossesses Barry and runs directly at the Everton defence before electing to hit a low shot left-footed that drifts wide rather than playing in Gayle.

The ball falls to Barkley on the edge of the Palace box but he can't quite get it out of his feet before it squirms away from him. Three minutes of added time to be played.

But is there time for a final twist?

McArthur works his way into Craig Pawson's book with a late tackle on Cleverley.

Everton are probing but a poor Lukaku pass puts Baines in trouble and Palace counter, but recovering blue shirts manage to prevent Bolasie testing Howard again.

The volume level at Goodison Park has risen several notches. The home side sense a late winner. Palace have been victorious every time they've scored first this season but that record is under serious threat now.

GOAL! Everton 1-1 Crystal Palace. If at first you hit the woodwork, try, try and try again. Lukaku finally taps in his 50th Everton goal from all of a yard after Deulofeu ghosts in behind Souare to centre the ball.

CHANCE: It just doesn't look like being Lukaku's night. The Belgian turns and hits a dropping ball brilliantly over Hennessey, only to see it cannon off the underside of the crossbar. He shakes his head in disbelief.

Double substitution for Crystal Palace as Jordon Mutch and Dwight Gayle come on in place of Connor Wickham and Yohan Cabaye.

GOAL! Everton 0-1 Crystal Palace. After weathering an intense storm the visitors take the lead, as Dann gets a run on Barry from a corner and powers a header past the helpless Howard.

CHANCE: Palace launch what is briefly a five-on-three break and as the Everton defence scrambles to contain Cabaye, Puncheon stings the palms of Howard with a firm drive.

Everton's latest spell of possession ends with Lukaku attempting a scooped pass into the path of Kone that is comfortably intercepted.

Bolasie wrestles Coleman to the ground as the pair jostle for the ball inside the Palace half but, to the fury of Goodison Park, referee Craig Pawson awards nothing.

Another excellent Barkley corner manages to evade everyone as the unmarked Lukaku watches it ruefully.

Deulofeu lays the ball across for Cleverley to strike on the edge of the box but the Englishman's strike trickles straight into the relieved arms of Hennessey.

The dribbling Deulofeu passes up several opportunities to shoot before finding Barkley, who can't work the space to test Hennessey as the Palace defence scrambles superbly.

CHANCE: A deflected Lukaku flick sits up perfectly for Cleverley and the former Manchester United man's shot is swerving beautifully into the net until the stretching Hennessey parries it wide. Brilliant save.

McArthur tries to nod a floated Cabaye pass into the path of Wickham from an advanced position, but gets his header all wrong.
