Good afternoon and welcome to Eurosport’s LIVE Boxing Day commentary of the Premier League clash involving Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool and table-toppers Leicester City. Team news and all of the pre-match build-up to follow.

A patient build-up from Liverpool results in a cross fired in from Coutinho but Leicester do well to clear the danger but they then concede a free-kick.

FACT! Leicester were unbeaten in their last nine Boxing Day matches before returning to the top flight (W4 D5). However, they have won just one of their last 10 fixtures on this day in the top division of English football (W1 D3 L6).

It's been a wonderfully entertaining match but we've yet to see a goal just yet. Liverpool are dominating possession and have had a couple of decent chances. Leicester are happy to defend and catch their opponents on the counter attack but they're yet to create an opening.

A first chance for Vardy goes begging as he heads well over the bar from a cross on the left.

OVER! It's all Liverpool at the moment and it's Origi once more who goes close. He cuts inside and fires a shot over the bar from the edge of the penalty area.

CHANCE! Origi gets the better of Morgan in a wide position and he bursts into the penalty area but can't beat the goalkeeper from a tight angle.

Coutinho finds a little space to have another crack at goal but his curled effort is going wide and Sakho meets it with his head to send it further from the net.

SAVE! Can forces Schmeichel into a good stop from distance.

The home supporters go quiet, just for a second, as Vardy runs at the Liverpool defence at pace in their final third but he can't pick out a team mate and the hosts recover possession.

Liverpool are winless in their last three games while Leicester have lost just once this campaign. It's been pretty close in the opening 20 minutes.

WIDE! The best chance of the match so far falls to Lallana who is played clear with a ball over the top but he somehow fires wide from inside the penalty area. Some of Anfield thought it was in!

CHANCE! Origi finds the ball on the right and cuts a pass back to Coutinho who curls the shot well over the bar. This game has been end-to-end.

After a great first touch Okazaki is brought down by Sakho in the penalty area and Liverpool clear the danger. No one in a blue shirt appealed for a penalty but we've definitely seen them given in the past.

Clyne does brilliantly to get his body across Mahrez to win the ball back for Liverpool.

Leicester defend the corner well and now the visitors are on the break...

But Liverpool continue their early pressure on the hosts as they win another corner.

The corner kick is flicked on but there isn't a player in a red shirt at the near post to head it in!

Morgan gets across to block Origi's attempt and Liverpool have a corner.
