Liverpool trying to construct a patient build-up from deep, but Swansea so far showing good defensive organisation to frustrate them.

Swansea respond quickly, Eder heading wide from a deep cross into the box. But Mignolet was never seriously worried.

OFF THE POST! What a lucky escape for Swansea! Liverpool slice apart the visitors and Ibe ends up with a clear run on goal. He cuts across Bartley and the defender gets a toe on it ... but his interception runs past the goalkeeper and cannons away off the woodwork! Nearly a remarkable own goal!

Might well be a 4-1-4-1 formation for Liverpool, with Benteke up top and Can sitting between the midfield and defence. A long ball aimed at the former is dealt with by Ashley Williams.

An interesting test for Liverpool, this. Their home form has not been great since Klopp's arrival - but there was a slight improvement in the midweek win over Bordeaux.

We already know the Reds will always be dangerous on the counter-attack in away games, but breaking down belligerent visiting sides like Swansea would show another step in the side's progression.

It will be interesting to see how much (if any) of Sturridge we will see in this game. Klopp seemed to give him a mild rebuke about his susceptibility to injury in midweek - suggesting that some of his problems are all in his mind.
