You can't help feeling a little sorry for Watford, after a brilliant start to the season, it's been a dire few months for them in the second half of their season. Adding insult to injury, it would be hard to say they were outclassed by Liverpool today who scored two pretty average goals. Still, as we know, this is football, no one said it was fair.

That's the fulltime whistle, we end 2-0 to Liverpool.

Moreno is coming off now for Liverpool's last substitution - Connor Randall replaces him.

Liverpool have less than ten minutes left to hang on to their lead. I would be very surprised if Watford managed to claw two goals back in this space of time.

Guedioura makes a good run into the box, doing well to get past the Liverpool defence, but he falters and loses the ball. I was hoping that might be the start of another period of Watford sparkle, but we're back down the other end of the pitch, now.

20 year old Cameron Brannangan comes on now to replace Ojo for Liverpool. It's his second appearance in the Premier League.

GOAL! Roberto Firminho scores Liverpool's second goal. It's a good strike from the near side of the goal into the bottom, but I'd have expected better from Gomes who fluffed his lines a bit there, getting a hand to it before it bounced into the goal.

What looked like a brighter period for the Hornets might have now ended, they make a meal out of a throw in that is almost instantly given away to Liverpool.

Abdi curls the ball up and over the wall but he's possibly just a little bit too close to find time for the ball to drop back down. It's over the cross bar. He's now substituted by Nordin Amrabat.

Abdi has been fouled on the very edge of the box - it won't be a penalty but he's very close.

Abdi is on the floor and Jon Flanagan is yellow carded - a pretty bold challenge, to be fair, having just barged right into him.

Liverpool with a substitution now, Coutinho will come off with Roberto Firminho replacing him. Not sure I'd have done that just yet, we've half an hour left and Coutinho looks very good with Benteke today.

Britos is handed a yellow card for a very clumsy tackle on Benteke which sees him strike the Liverpool player just above the waistband. No sure how he found his way there.

Jurado is leaving the pitch now for Steven Berghuis

Anya has been good today - he's just supplied a brilliant cross to a waiting Ighalo who strikes the ball. There's no one between him and the goal, bar the keeper who gets a finger-tip to the ball to send it wide.

Ibe will be unhappy with that, a substitution interrupts his play, at the exact point he's rid himself of all the Watford defence on his tail. Guedioura comes on for Suarez for Watford.

Liverpool have started the second half with a bit more fire in their bellies. Coutinho has a great chance in the opening minutes of the second half but it's totally miss-fired. Nonetheless, Benteke and Coutinho are playing very well together now.
