Toure takes the free kick, Bony meets it on the edge of the box, and his header predictably doesn't trouble Guzan.

Free kick for City, 50 yards out on the right wing.

Aguero plays it left for Fernandinho's run ahead of him in the box. He clips a pass inside for Bony, and his shot deflects off him into the air, and Guzan takes.

Aguero and Navas team up on the right. Navas gets into trouble and loses the ball, but Clark helps out by backheeling for a corner on the right.

Clark hoofs a ball in the box out for a corner. Silva takes, and Bony puts it well wide at the near post.

Otamendi releases Clichy down the left, and he then continues his run into the box. Clichy finds him with across, and mishits his volley. Aguero picks it up but can't convert.

Nothing happens, but Villa bring the ball into the City half for a change.

Sagna crosses to Bony, stretching to reach it, and he heads it up and away from goal.

Fernandinho chips in a pass for Aguero's run against the defensive line, and he's flagged offside.

Ayew picks up a loose ball inside the box. He jinks to make room for a shot, and his shot is palmed behind by Hart at his near post.

Silva is down injured. City play on despite that, and Aguero ends up playing a 1-2 with Bony into the box, and he fires just wide of the near post.

Gueye passes down the middle for Ayew to chase, but it runs to Hart.

Eventually Villa clear the corner, but Westwood is tackled. Silva and Toure combine, but are forced back to the defence.
