GOAL! Southampton 1-0 Arsenal. Martina scores - Bertrand's cross is headed clear, and Martina has enough time to connect well with a shot with the outside of the boot, and it flies in from 25 yards.

    Monreal now goes close.

Walcott is put through behind the defence, yards from goal, but an interceptioon comes and boots it clear.

Davis heads away a corner at the near post, and Bertrand attacks down the left. He gets in a cross, it is put back in by Ward-Prowse, but Mertesacker clears.

Southampton continue to play it about the defence, but Walcott wins it back in midfield, and wins a free kick.

Here's a prediction, which is oddly detailed.

Arsenal have made the brighter start, but with the corner for Giroud excepted, they've done little else.

Southampton captain Jose Fonte agreed with Koeman's sentiments when he spoke ahead of tonight's game.
    19:25
Ronald Koeman had some stern words for his players ahead of the match: "Maybe the players don't realise enough the situation of today in the club. Maybe still the players living with what they did last season and if we don't give more than 100 per cent we have a normal team. They (the players) have to realise and that's all about the critics to them.”
    19:20
Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger remains cautious despite his side’s recent run of good form.
    19:15
Arsene Wenger is not be able to welcome back any of his injured players. Alexis Sanchez has suffered a setback in his return from a hamstring injury, with the Chile forward missing Monday's win over Manchester City and is not expected to feature over the festive period.
Jack Wilshere (leg) should be back in January while Mikel Arteta (calf) is not far away from a comeback. Francis Coquelin, Danny Welbeck, Santi Cazorla and Tomas Rosicky (all knee) are also missing.
However, Hector Bellerin makes a landmark appearance.
