Sunderland have calmed down a little and are keeping the ball well in West Ham's half. They're edging forward slowly, until Toivonen seems room for a shot, but he shoots sraight at Tomkins. Toivonen quickly wins it back.

Borini is through on goal after Fletcher flicks the ball into the path of his run, and he sidefoots wide of goal - but only just.

Cresswell now booked for a sliding challenge on Lens.

West Ham are now back in the game with plenty of the ball. Sunderland may be a little nervous if they concede before half time.

Lens slides into Cresswell on the left wing, and goes straight through him after Cresswell offloads. That's a booking.

Billy Jones' cross to the back post is cleared out to Lens, and he fires well over.

John O'Shea flicks on a corner at the near post, and Adrian flicks up a hand to palm it away, and keep his side in the game.

GOAL! Sunderland 2-0 West Ham. Lens scores - M'Vila seizes on a defensive error from West Ham, M'Vila quickly passes forward to Lens, who pulls off a toe-poked dink over Adrian from the edge of the box.

Borini is absolutely flattened by Tomkins after Fletcher nutmegs a defender with a pass into the box, but the referee gives nothing. It's a block more than anything, but it looked dramatic.

Corner on the left for West Ham. Payet takes, and Lens heads away at the near post.

Sakho chases a ball over the top but O'Shea intercepts. Sunderland race forward but West Ham drop back swiftly to stem the danger.

Lanzini breaks from deep with the Sunderland defence backing off. He has room for a shot from 35 yards out, and he fizzes a shot just wide, though Pantilimon had it covered.

Borini pulls off down the inside right of the box, and slams a shot into the side netting at the near post.

GOAL! Sunderland 1-0 West Ham. Fletcher scores - The free kick is played back a little, across the box, by M'Vila, and Fletcher hooks his shot at goal that beats Adrian with power and pace.

Jenkinson and Borini challenge for a high ball, with Borini winning the first ball and then chasing it to tthe touchline. Jenkinson barges into him, giving Sunderland a free kick on the left wing to cross from.

Sunderland press, Borini receives the ball with his back to goal, just outside the box. He tries to play the ball around the corner for a runner, but it's straight out of play.

Jenkinson can't reach a ball played for him on the right, but he isn't able to catch up with it.
