Liverpool have also lost only one of their seven away matches under Jurgen Klopp, their high-intensity pressing and transition style has seen off more illustrious opponents than Watford since mid-October and Klopp will be hoping that his frontline of Adam Lallana, Philippe Coutinho and Roberto Firmino can link up as clinically and memorably as they did to humiliate Manchester City 4-1 at the Etihad Stadium last month.

If it weren't for Leicester City, Watford might be the story of the Premier League this season. Victory today would move the Hornets move to within a point of the top four, but to do so they will have to overcome history...

Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp on Watford's excellent start to the season: "It's not a big surprise. They have good players and a good plan.... Watford are playing very well and have good strikers, quick in their minds. But we don't go there to clap our hands for them."

Quique Sanchez Flores on Watford's lack of rotation: "I have a squad and I would like everyone to play. The team has been working very well this season and that has meant it hasn't been easy to make many changes. Players like [Victor] Ibarbo, [Alessandro] Diamanti and [Jose] Holebas are in the squad dynamic and they are ready. It is impossible for every player to play all the minutes in the next four games."

Liverpool are looking to end a three-match winless run in all competitions, but Watford are less than ideal opponents. Quique Sanchez Flores' men are 90 minutes away from recording the Hornets' first run of four consecutive victories in the top flight since April 1987 and, in Odion Ighalo and Troy Deeney, boast a strikeforce that has notched a combined 15 goals in 16 Premier League matches this season.

The big news for Liverpool is that Adam Bogdan starts in goal ahead of Simon Mignolet, who misses out with a tight hamstring. Roberto Firmino leads the line ahead of Christian Benteke and Divock Origi, with both Belgians on the bench.

The teams are out and Watford remain unchanged after beating Sunderland at the Stadium of Light last time out.
