Yaya Toure and Fabian Delph fly home from Manchester City’s pre-season tour

Yaya Toure has been sent home from Manchester City's tour of Australia after a collision with Real Madrid’s goalkeeper Keylor Navas.
The club’s new signing Fabian Delph will also return to England after he lasted just 18 minutes before injuring a hamstring on his debut, leaving City short of two key midfielders after their 4-1 defeat on Friday.
Toure was on the wrong end of a clash with Navas, who had raced of his line to punch the ball clear during the friendly in Melbourne and has now been sent home, according to reports.
The pair will miss the club’s trip to Vietnam and Delph, who signed from Aston Villa last week, faces a fight to be fit for the new season after he was carried off.
Manager Manuel Pellegrini said: "Fabian is a very important player on the left side. This injury is not the best news, as he was just starting the season with our team.
"Tomorrow we will get a diagnosis from the doctor but it is difficult to know as the doctor needs at least 48 hours."
The Chilean boss also said Sergio Aguero, Pablo Zabaleta, Martin Demichelis and Fernandinho could also miss the opening Premier League match at West Brom on August 10 after their involvement with the Copa America.
He added: "I think in football it’s so important to work hard but also resting has the same importance. You have so many games throughout the year that if you don’t give them 30 days after they’ve finished their internationals, it’s very difficult for them to work hard.
"It’s more difficult for the South American players because Pablo Zabaleta, Martin Demichelis, Sergio Aguero and Fernandinho finished later, the first days of July, so they won’t have 30 days.
"I think when we return to Manchester they will start their pre-season. Maybe they will not be involved in the first game but I am sure they will work hard and will be involved as soon as they can."
