Fernadinho puts in a lovely floaty ball from the left channel, but Sterling's touch eight yards out is poor and Boruc is grateful to pick up the ball.

Sterling puts in a teasing ball, and with no call from goalkeeper Boruc, Smith puts the ball out for a corner. Josh King clears the corner out for a City throw.

Cook finds Daniels, who passes along to Fraser, but the Scot handballs in trying to control and City have the free-kick.

Fernandinho tries to set Sane free down the left, but Smith's tackle hits the German and Bournemouth have the throw in.

Surman attempts a clearance from Silva's centre and slices horribly, but De Bruyne slashes the half-chance wide.

Wilshere tries a pass down the left touchline which is mistimed, and Fernandinho can intercept. Sane then gets the ball down the left but Cook is across to concede a throw down the City left.

Fernandinho starts at left-back for City, with Sagna at right back and Kolarov and Stones in centre of defence. For Bournemouth, Fraser starts on the left with Ibe on the right.

Referee Neil Swarbrick blows for kick off on a cold and windy night on the South Coast. Bournemouth are in their usual home kit of red and black striped shirts and black shorts, Manchester City kick off from left to right in their usual sky blue shirts and shorts.

Five minutes to go at the Vitality Stadium. Manchester City will go second, eight points behind leaders Chelsea, with victory over Bournemouth tonight.

Just two clean sheets in his last 13 PL matches for Cherries' goalkeeper Artur Boruc, and another tough test for the Pole tonight. Bournemouth, who conceded 16 goals in their first 12 PL games of the season, have let in 31 in their last 12!

Eddie Howe's side are unbeaten against the three top-five sides, Tottenham, Liverpool and Arsenal, who have visited Vitality this season. "We've done well against the top teams this year and we'll have to do that again," Howe said. "I've always said we need to get points as soon as we could, we knew the second season would be harder - it's no surprise to me."

"We are more stable, we control more, but every game is completely different. Bournemouth is a tough, tough game," Guardiola said."It's outstanding what [Bournemouth] have done. They are an honest team - it will be a tough game, I have no doubts about that."

Manchester City have won all three of their Premier League games against Bournemouth, scoring 13 goals and conceding just one, but Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola expects a tough test on the South Coast.

Sergio Aguero said during the week that he was unsure of his future at the Etihad Stadium, but Guardiola insists the Argentine is still very part of his plans. "Five minutes after those statements, Man City released a note saying the opinion of the club and manager about Sergio Aguero’s future," he said.

19-year-old Gabriel Jesus is again preferred to Sergio Aguero up front. The Brazil international has scored in both of his first two Premier League starts for Man City. The only players to score on their first three Premier League starts for the club are Emmanuel Adebayor (four in 2009) and Kevin de Bruyne (three in 2015).

City manager Pep Guardiola, who has almost fully-fit Man City squad to choose from apart from long-term absentee Ilkay Gundogan, again prefers Willy Caballero to Claudio Bravo in goal. The Argentine has started City's last three games since replacing Bravo, keeping clean sheets in two of them.

Bournemouth manager Eddie Howe makes three changes to the side that started the 6-3 defeat to Everton at the Goodison Park last Saturday, with Adam Smith, Charlie Daniels and Jordon Ibe coming into the side for Tyrone Mings, Dan Gosling and Marc Pugh.
