FULL TIME. Arsenal avert a crisis on top of a crisis, and edge towards the Champions League places. It was a decent performance, and a tactical rejig that is worth sticking with. For 'Boro, they have nothing to show for a limited performance, and now seem doomed.

Oxlade-Chamberlain gets around the back of the defence and drives towards goal. With options square, he tries to give Guzan the eyes and flicks it towards the near post, only to see the 'keeper block his effort.

Bellerin and Coquelin on for Sanchez and Ozil. Wenger trying to play it safe.

Sanchez is penalised for handball after jumping into a 'Boro player to try to buy a free kick. Downing fires it into the back post, Gabriel plays it across goal, and Gibson puts in a weak shot from close range ofr Cech to save.

The ball is worked to Giroud by Sanchez. He has chance to stand up the defender, and he tries to curl a shot into the top corner, but instead it goes miles wide.

Negredo whips in a shot on the edge of the box, and Cech dives to his right for a comfortable save at the near post.

The game is pretty flat now. Arsenal are going to try to kill the game, but nerves might start to creep up on them given their poor form, and 'Boro's desperation.

Downing heads down to the near post, but Ayala can't shrug off his marker to reach and turn it in.

GOAL! 'Boro 1-2 Arsenal. Ozil scores - Sanchez floats a ball into the box gently, Ramsey deftly chests it into the path of Ozil, who whallops a shot low into the near corner.

The comically weird Traore goes past three players, then gets enormous brainfreeze in front of goal, until he is tackled and then bundled over. Shoot, man!

Arsena have 'Boro pinned back at the moment, but the home side are determinedly defending.

Sanchez picks out Ozil with a measured through-ball, and as he sets himself to shoot, Guzan rushes out to block the run and clear the ball.

Oxlade-Chamberlain loops a cross to Giroud who misses it, and it falls to Sanchez, but when he gets it out of his feet, the ball is quickly cleared.

Ayala meets a cross from Downing after it's headed back across goal by Friend, and it's cleared off the line after Cech falls backwards to beat it out. Boro are threatening.

The free kick is eventually cleared by Ayala after Giroud seemed to control a ball into the box from Xhaka, with his hand.

Barragan boots Sanchez from behind on the edge of the box, to the left, and concedes a cheap free kick.

Friend bursts down the left, he cuts into the box, a cross from him loops up to Downing at the back post, and he flashes over.
