WIDE! Mee makes a mess of a clearance and Eriksen fires the loose ball straight at Keane. Spurs have a corner - which comes to nothing.

CLOSE! Rose tries his luck from range but it's blocked by a defender inside the area and half-hearted appeals for a penalty are turned away by the referee.
Moments later, Kane fires a ball across the face of goal but none of his team mates could apply the finish and it rolls out harmlessly for a goal-kick.

MISS! Burnley are completely opened up by a devastating pass from Rose which releases Alli inside the area but the Englishman leans back and sends the ball miles over the bar.

TEN MINUTES UNTIL KICK-OFF! It's time for a prediction. This writer simply can't see anything other than a home victory as Spurs look to put pressure on their top-four rivals.

If Burnley are to deny Tottenham this afternoon, they simply have to find a way to stop Christian Eriksen. The Dane has had a hand in six goals in his last four Premier League appearances, scoring five and providing one assist.

Sean Dyche's side had been written off as relegation certainties even before a ball was kicked this season but the Clarets have done OK thus far and the boss is clearly happy with his team's performances.
"We've not necessarily exceeded ours but I think we've exceeded everyone else's. Not so much our fans and certainly not myself, my staff and the team. I made a joke when we got promoted it was 48 hours before we got written off this time.
"I think it was well documented that nobody gave us a chance of being in this division, but overall we've given a good account of ourselves."

Burnley have yet to win an away game this season and haven't recorded a victory at White Hart Lane since October 1974. Fancy the Clarets to shock Spurs? You can back the visitors at odds of 11/1.

Tottenham have won their last five competitive home games against Burnley and another victory this afternoon could lift Mauricio Pochettino's side into the top four, providing Arsenal beat Manchester City today.

Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino on Eric Dier playing different positions: "When he was playing as a midfielder, as a centre-back or as a full-back, he never came to say he wasn't happy to play there or in another position. We're talking about rumours.
"First of all he's 22 years old. He arrived as a 19-year-old and after two-and-a-half years he's averaged - and I don't want to be wrong - more than 40 official games every season.
"His quality is that he can play in different positions - that's very important for every coach."

Mousa Dembele has passed a late fitness test and features in Spurs’ starting XI in place of Moussa Sissoko while Harry Winks comes back in with Toby Alderweireld sidelined. Winks steps into midfield and Eric Dier moves back into central defence.
