Spurs, inspired by Harry Kane's brilliant goal, produced ten minutes of brilliance that were far too much for Everton. The question is whether Everton can liberate their attackers without exposing their defence.

Everton need to get Lukaku into the game, problem being that there's no much wing activity and lots of bodies in the middle of the pitch. I'd not surprised to see them go long after half-time.

Spurs are just much to good for Everton, and Dier slings over a cross which flies far beyond the far post., But Davies is there to turn back in, forcing Fues Mori to hump clear.

And Spurs nearly score again! Walker drills a crossfielder to Davies, whose control is awry. But Coleman chucks himself into the bouncing ball like a child, misses it, and allows his man to clip over a cross - Eriksen allows it to hit his forehead, trying to guide a finish into the far corner - but it drifts just wide.

But Everton will know they'll probably hit another purple patch at some point. They'll need to score before that happens.

Out of nothing, Barkley wins a corner, and though his delivery is now good, because it's low and towards the near post, it's not easily cleared. But cleared it is.
