Good evening and welcome to Eurosport's LIVE text commentary of Watford and Liverpool at a wet Vicarage Road. With fellow top-four contenders Manchester United, Manchester City and Arsenal all dropping points, Sunday couldn't have gone any better for the Reds - but can they capitalise? Their form against teams in the bottom half of the table suggests not, but Watford were rank bad in their last game - a 2-0 defeat to 10-man Hull. Let's wait and see the outcome, eh? Kick-off is at 20:00.

If it was a straight battle between the top six sides in the Premier League then Liverpool would have the title wrapped up by now.
The Reds are unbeaten against their rivals, having taken 20 points from a possible 30. Quite an incredible stat, given their modest third position.

    An interesting stat.

A crunch game tonight for Liverpool, absolutely massive. There will be plenty of watchful eyes on this one, particularly those Manchester United supporters who had to endure yet another home draw on Sunday, this time against relegation-threatened Swansea City...

    HISTORY TO REPEAT ITSELF?
The Hornets could win four top-flight matches in a row at Vicarage Road for the first time since December 1986, when they beat Liverpool to establish that mark.

A lovely touch from the home supporters.

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp: "At the beginning of the season, when we were first or second in the table and all that stuff, I said the only thing we can do is to be in the battle for the interesting positions at the end of the season.
"Yes, it would be nice if we had 10 points more and fight with Chelsea for the title, but that's not for us obviously in this moment.
"So we have to fight for what we can fight for and that's a Champions League place. That's really, really interesting, to be honest."

The Reds have lost five times this season against teams currently in the bottom half of the table: Palace, Leicester, Burnley, Hull and Swansea.
Interestingly enough, three of their four remaining fixtures are against teams outside the top 10.

"Our target was to be mathematically safe and we still are not mathematically safe, [but] we are very near safety," Mazzari said in a pre-match interview.
"They [Liverpool] will be very angry, because they lost at home [to Crystal Palace]. I hope my players are more angry than them, because we lost our last game and conceded six against Liverpool earlier this year."
    19:20
Watford are 13th and could move into the top 10 with a victory this evening but remarkably manager Walter Mazzari still finds himself under pressure. They've already reached the magical 40 point mark and are all but sure of their top flight status next season. Modern football, eh?
    19:15
Under pressure Hornets manager Walter Mazzari makes one change from last week's defeat at Hull with Adrian Mariappa taking the place of the injured José Holebas.
It looks like a return to as 3-5-2 for tonight's hosts.
    19:10
Jurgen Klopp names the same Liverpool side that lost to 2-1 at home to Crystal Palace last weekend.
Adam Lallana has missed the last month with a groin injury but he returns to the substitute's bench this evening, alongside Daniel Sturridge who has recovered from a sore hip.

Have you turned off the Xbox yet, Watford? Their performance at Hull was so poor, striker Troy Deeney took the unprecedented step of apologising to the visiting supporters, claiming some of his mates had treated the game ‘like a game of FIFA’.
“One team had a set of balls and ran and kicked and did all the horrible stuff, and the other team just wanted to play a game like it was FIFA,” he said (per the Daily Mail).
    Ouch.
