Hello and welcome to LIVE updates of the Premier League clash which sees West Ham host Manchester City. It's the Hammers' first game at the London Stadium since Dimitri Payet's acrimonious departure and they will be hoping a new show of unity can secure a victory that could take them up to ninth - if results go their way elsewhere. As for City, they are bidding for a first win in three league outings to cut the gap on leaders Chelsea to 10 points and move level on points with fourth-placed Liverpool. Kick off 7.45pm GMT.

Quiet start from Andy Carroll. He has scored five goals in the Premier League against Manchester City, his joint-highest tally against an opponent in the competition (alongside Arsenal & Swansea). The former Liverpool and Newcastle hitman has also notched four goals in his last five Premier League appearances, including three in his last two in the competition.

Antonio drifting into space on a number of occasions. City struggling to keep on top of his clever runs into the left channel.

All eyes on Jesus. Looks a real talent.

Both sides looking lively in the attacking third without carving out much of note in the early exchanges.

Jesus with some lovely footwork on the right of the box. He takes on three and digs out a cross that West Ham are happy to hack anywhere to safety.

Despite the Payet saga, the Hammers appear to be on the up.

Antonio shows good feet and wastes little time drilling in a low shot from distance that Willy gets down well to gather.

It means Willy Caballero and Gabriel Jesus retain their places in the starting XI from the FA Cup victory at Crystal Palace. There are three changes from the trip to Selhurst Park with De Bruyne, Nicolas Otamendi and John Stones coming in for Gael Clichy, Vincent Kompany and Fabian Delph. /// West Ham make one change from the 3-1 win over Middlesbrough with Fonte making his debut in place of the injured Angelo Ogbonna.

A big night for new West Ham defender, JoseFonte. The ex-Southampton star offered his view on why he signed for the Hammers in tonight's matchday programme: "He (Slaven Bilic) sold me the project and the ambition of the club.  You just have to look around and see the stadium and the ambition of the owners and the investment in the team. You see where they want to go."

Tuesday night saw all of the title challengers miss their opportunity to put pressure on Premier League leaders Chelsea, but what did we really learn?

Fernandinho was sent off for the third time in his last six appearances during City's win over Burnley this month but returns on the bench tonight. Pep Guardiola spoke about the Brazilian at his pre-match press conference. He said: "He's so important and I am happy he's back. He's not aggressive. He's a tough intense player. He is one of the nicest guys I've met."

West Ham manager Slaven Bilic on the departure of Dimitri Payet: "Does he owe an apology? No. I wouldn't say that. He is gone, he went home, that was his wish and I will not forget how good he was for us. He was brilliant. I was so happy and proud, with my team, my staff, to help him achieve what he did. What he achieved with us was a great story for West Ham, for the Premier League and for France. I want to thank him for everything he did for us - he was brilliant last year. We were brilliant for him also. Now that story's finished, I wish him luck and all the best in Marseille."

HEAD-TO-HEAD: It's not pretty for Hammers fans. The teams have already met twice this term with the Citizens hitting eight and conceding just one. In fact, the Londoners have only triumphed in two of the last 16 meetings between the sides. The most recent saw City run riot with a 5-0 success at the London Stadium in the FA Cup third round back in January.
