United start the game 15 points behind champions-elect Manchester City, while Everton are ninth but have lost only one game under new manager Sam Allardyce.

Niasse isn't giving the United defenders a moment's peace. He forces Rojo into conceding a corner, but the set-piece is easily dealt with by the visitors.

The game is being played out in rather harsh conditions and the early signs suggest this won't be a classic. Manchester United have slipped to third place and are four games without a win, so a victory is pretty crucial this evening.

Everton's corner is dealt with by the visitors, but Big Sam will be encouraged with the way his side have approached the opening five minutes.

Holgate's shot is blocked and none other than Rooney collects the loose ball. He launches a venomous shot at goal, but it is deflected out for a corner. 'Rooney' is the chant around Goodison Park. Not sure if it is the home or away supporters...

Bright start by Everton as Bolasie gets past Lindelof down the left. The cross isn't as clever though as De Gea is well placed to gather.

"We’ve gone and lost against Bournemouth, which puts on more pressure to make it up somewhere and it may have to be against a bigger club. We have to pick ourselves up and look forward to Man United and Liverpool."

"We have what we have and we trust the players. The players want to give everything like they have since the first minute of the season.

"No Lukaku or no Ibra means that we don’t have a number nine as you normally call a target man so we have to change. If you don’t have a player like Lukaku or a normal replacement like Zlatan we have to play with the qualities we have so we have to forget that way of playing with a target man because we don’t have."
