City finally make the breakthrough! De Bruyne crosses from the left and Aguero delicately glides a header in the bottom-right corner. It's not entirely clear if Aguero got a touch but he's claiming it!

CHANCE: De Bruyne cuts the ball back to SIlva in the area, who shoots low at Darlow.

Silva wins City's seventh corner. Newcastle then clear their seventh corner.

De Bruyne and Aguero play a one-two on the edge of the area and the latter finds Sterling, who shoots straight at Darlow from 20 yards. Once again, Newcastle are limiting the hosts to speculative shots.

Silva wins a free kick on the left corner of the area as Manquillo impedes him. De Bruyne whips it in, but puts far too much on it - it flies at least five yards over the bar.

Silva and Sane combine in the penalty area - not for the first time today - but the flag goes up as the German closes in on the six-yard box.

De Bruyne collects a loose ball on the left edge of the area and has an opportunity to cross, but his first touch is too heavy and it goes out for a goal kick. A rare poor touch from the Belgian.

It's all City attack, but the visitors must be commended for their organised defending. Darlow hasn't had to use his gloves yet, despite all the pressure in his box.

Silva wins yet another corner for City as Hayden deflects his cross. Silva swings it in but there's not a City head near it in the box.

Sterling puts the ball in the net but it won't count!

City break in numbers with De Bruyne picking out Sane, who drops the ball back to Silva The Spaniard plays an excellent ball across the box to Sterling, who tucks the ball in the net but his timing wasn't quite right.

That was a superb movement. Jon Stones clapped from the halfway line as he watched it unfold.

De Bruyne finds Sane running into the box with a delightful over-the-top through ball, but two Newcastle defenders swarm and Hayden disposseses the German before he can shoot.

Sane tries a speculative shot from outside the area, but it rolls meekly wide. Newcastle are doing their job well if they can reduce the league leaders to pot shots like that.

Zinchenko whips in a lovely cross from the left, which Clark heads out for a corner. The 21-year-old hasn't put a foot wrong yet.

City have 75% possession. It's an attack vs defence exercise right now.

Zinchenko has looked impressive so far. The Ukrainian dashes down the left side of the box and wins a corner when his cross is deflected. Kyle Walker receives the ball from the corner and blasts it high into row Z.

In yet another City attack, Sterling is flagged as he receives a cross-field ball on the right. Newcastle are sitting back.

De Bruyne attempts a cross from the left which is cleared for a corner by Lascelles. From the resultant corner, Silva cuts a ball back to Stones, who shoots wide.

City are comfortable in possession. De Bruyne wins a free kick around 40 yards out after being felled by Diame.

Aguero attempts a cross fromt he right of the box, but Clark blocks and it's cleared.

Aguero tries to break through the Newcastle back line, but the ball runs lose to Darlow.
