Pep Guardiola is furious; he clearly feels Madley should have shown a straight to Philips for a nasty foul on Diaz. Instead the referee only produces a yellow card. It was late, high and dangerous; and the City boss has a good case for complaint.

And from West Brom's corner, City almost extend their lead with a lightening quick counter-attack. Sterling leads the charge, he finds Diaz whose shot is saved by Foster and Bernardo Silva finds only the side-netting from the follow-up.

After 82 minutes, West Brom win their first corner of the game! The Baggies normally present a threat on set-pieces but this time it's delivered straight into the arms of Ederson.

Into the final 10 minutes and City are cruising. As it stands, they will extend their lead at the top of the Premier League table to 15 points.

Diaz is immediately involved as he bamboozles his marker on the left side of the penalty area before delivering a dangerous cross into the box. Foster punches clear, but only as far as Walker whose first-time effort drifts narrowly over.

With an assist and a goal to his name, De Bruyne goes off to a rousing reception. Brahim Diaz takes his place.

That is Rondon's last action of the night as he is replaced by Daniel Sturridge who comes on for his West Brom debut.

And now Rondon goes into the book for kicking out at new boy Laporte. Frustration is beginning to get the better of the Baggies and Pardew needs to be careful his players don't lose their discipline in the last 15 minutes.

McClean was booked for trying to hack down De Bruyne in the build-up to the goal but Guardiola is furious; he felt the Irishman should have walked for that challenge.

It's a lovely team move started and finished by the Belgian. He surges forward, stays on his feet despite pressure from McClean before playing a beautifully weighted pass to Sterling. The Englishman looks up, squares the ball back to De Bruyne who taps into a gaping net.

City play a short corner and work the ball to Zinchenko who tries his luck from the edge of the box but drills his daisy-cutter wide of Foster's right-hand post.

Bernardo Silva finds a pocket of space on the edge of the penalty and opens his body up to release a shot. He tries to find the top corner with a curled effort but Foster gets across to make a strong one-handed stop to push it wide.
