Swansea are playing the ball about in defence, which is risky as they're almost man-marked by United. They find space for a break, and Carroll receives the ball on the left before Bailly knocks it out of play.

Fer earns a talking to for another foul, this time on Matic. Nothing too serious, but it was a touch late and from behind. Nothing comes of the free kick.

Valencia swings in a cross that Fernandez heads away.

Lukaku strains to reach a cross but can't quite manage it. United still have the ball and are looking for an opening. Pogba eventually lifts a ball into the box, but it's just too strong for Lukaku's run.

Valencia pings a ball in towards Lukaku, but it flies over his head. United are dominating possession and territory, but not threatening much.

Bailly and Abraham tussle on the halfway line, and Baily drags him own to concede a foul.

Mata swings in a cross, Jones meets it with a thunderous header, but it crashes against the bar.

Rashford is tripped by Mawson on the right of the box. A chance for a cross.

Rashford had a little room on the edge of the box after spinning inside, and he drags a low shot wide of the post.

Rashford chases a pass, briefly, that is far too heavy, and it's out for a goal kick.

Due to gremlins, this post was deleted: Ayew, before Lukaku's attack, sprinted towards the byline after charging down a Bailly clearance. He scooped a shot from a tight angle, just brushing the crossbar.

United pace up the the pitch for their own attack, Lukaku driving towards the box. He has a pass blocked, and lashes a shot just wide of the goal.

Fer chips a ball over the top for Abraham to chase, but Jones is on hand to nod it back to De Gea.

The teams are now walking out onto the pitch. Can Swansea get their first shot on target of the season?

With 10 minutes before kick-off, Thierry Henry is saying that Romelu Lukaku is an excellent trainer, and has a serious desire for goals.

Ahead of the game, Mourinho declared that Chelsea were the team to beat, as they were champions. It will do no harm to chuck on a bit more pressure.

Swansea have the impressive Abraham up front, but are now without Sigurdsson, who has joined Everton for a baffling sum. It should be easy to replace him with the money they've got in return.

United are unchanged from the side that played last week. They have their spine of De Gea, Bailly, Matic, Pogba and Lukaku in place and it seems like Mourinho will be sticking to his habit of only minimal rotation. Lindelof is on the bench as he's eased into action.
