Gundogan takes a corner for City and Scott Dann clears it, but the threat lingers.

There's some activity on the other side of the pitch as Palace look like they mean to score. It's Milivojevic who shoots from the edge of the box but it's too much and sails over the bar.

If Chelsea were to beat Liverpool today, Chelsea would go third. If they lose, Arsenal have an opportunity to overtake them tomorrow and slot into fourth place on goal difference. BUT... It's also worth pointing out, today's match between Liverpool and Chelsea is their 34th, while City's today and Arsenal's tomorrow is their 33rd. Are you all still with me?

City are in second place, just two excruciating points behind Liverpool, so a win today would put them back at the top of the table - at least until later on today. There’s a crucial game later between Liverpool and Chelsea, which could just shake up that top six even more.

Palace are currently in 13th place in the league with 39 points. Should they win today they would leapfrog over West Ham in 11th place on goal difference.

City come into today’s match with six league wins on the bounce, Palace’s fortunes are a little more mixed having won three and lost two in their last five.

A couple of changes to the Palace side today, by Roy Hodgson. James Tomkins is replaced by Scott Dann and Michy Batshuayi is replaced by Christian Benteke, who is starting for the first time since early February.

Benjamin Mendy is making his first start for City since November as one of four changes to todays’ starting XI by Pep Guardiola. Kevin de Bruyne, Vincent Kompany and Leroy Sane also make the cut.
