Welcome along to Eurosport's LIVE coverage of Liverpool versus Watford as the Reds look to maintain their lead at the top of the Premier League table. It hasn't been plain sailing for them of late though and Roberto Firmino started the day as an injury doubt after limping off on Sunday - team news is on the way next.

Watford have lost only one of their past 11 games in the league and cup.

As for Watford, they have won two games on the bounce, the most recent an impressive 5-1 triumph on the road against Cardiff, and they were the first club outside of the ‘big six’ to reach 40 points. Their record on the road against the 'big six' isn't good but they certainly carry a threat.

The Belgian starting isn't the biggest team news from the Premier League this evening, however.

Despite injuries at the back - Dejan Lovren and Joe Gomez are both out again tonight - it's been in attack that Liverpool have struggled this last while. The Reds have scored more than one goal in only to of those last nine games and kick off having not scored in more than three and a half hours. Can Origi's inclusion inspire a turnaround?

Liverpool's recent record against Watford is very good then, but their form is 2019 has been anything but. They have won just one of their last five games in all competitions and have won just three of their nine matches played since the turn of the year. As a consequence, their lead at the top of the table is down to just one point and Manchester City are in action tonight also, facing West Ham.

Watford haven’t won at Anfield this millennium; their last win here came in 1999 as Tommy Mooney scored the game’s only goal.

Momamed Salah has played in three of those games, scoring an impressive six goals.

Liverpool have won five of the last six meetings between the two sides, drawing the other and scoring 20 goals across those six games.

Meanwhile, Watford are unchanged. They won 5-1 last time out so that shouldn't come as a surprise.

The hosts make two changes and they are two interesting ones. With Firmino out it's Divok Origi who's entrusted to lead the line - with Daniel Sturridge among the substitutes - while Jordan Henderson, who is fortunate his angry reaction to be taken off at the weekend was overshadowed by a player refusing to go off, makes way for Trent Alexander-Arnold. James Milner shuffles into midfield.
