Hello and welcome to our live text commentary of Newcastle's Premier League clash with Wolves from St James' Park. To quote D:Ream, things have certainly got a great deal better in the north east after such a dismal start to the campaign. One defeat in six has helped the Magpies climb up to a lift 14th. Wolves were on a poor run of form themselves and after conceding first against Chelsea in midweek, they looked to be heading for a sixth defeat in seven league games. However, they turned the match on its head, providing them with a huge boost ahead of their trip to the north east. I'm Pete Hall, and I will be bringing you the action, as it happens, live!

Rondon fires a free kick for the top corner, it looks to be heading in, but the ball thunders down off the crossbar. It comes back out to Rondon, who clips a glorious cross back into the dangerzone for Perez to head home.

All too easy for Wolves. Helder Costa clips a cross into the middle, Jamaal Lascelles gets caught under it, allowing Jota time to bring the ball down on his chest before volleying home. Woeful defending.

Here we go! The wheels have come off a touch, but three recent wins in a row have rejuvenated Newcastle. Wolves have been in freefall of late after an impressive start, but that turnaround victory over title contenders Chelsea will give them a lift too - something has to give!

Quite the contrast!
