Chris Hughton says he's approaching games just as he did last season. He says that Gross almost made it, and Bissouma is still adjusting, but has the ability to carry the ball.

So what are Brighton going to do? Well, they're planning to win the numbers name in the middle of midfield, but they'll need to pass it well for that to make a difference, and they'll be looking for crosses into Murray. I'm just not sure how he's not getting outnumbered - the delivery and movement will need to perfect, and the defending will need to be poor.

Anticipation mounts.

Danny Ings, then. People weren't especially impressed when he signed for Liverpool, but he impressed me pretty much every time I saw him play for Burnley. He has good feet and is able to occupy an entire defence; now, with a partner, and a partner as quick as Shane Long, he's a real problem for those having to mark him.

Lee Murray says Brighton says they've done their homework on Southampton and expects his team's results to catch up with their performances.

Cedric says that Southampton's first win, which came in their last game against Palace, should have come in the one before that against Leicester. He also says that there's ore pressure playing at home.

Brighton make one change, Bissouma replacing the injured Gross. They'll be looking to keep this tight, but their lack of creativity and firepower will make things hard for them here - I can't see them keeping a clean sheet.

That Southampton team looks pretty solid - no one is getting an easy night with those two strikers and Redmond outside them, while Lemina gives them a bit of class in midfield. They're unchanged for the third game in a rown and I think they'll win this one.
