Emery: "I think West Ham are improving and they also have good individual players with quality, like Anderson, like Arnautovic, who are very good players.

"Usually [Manuel Pellegrini has] very offensive teams. They usually play matches with a balance tactically but above all with technical, offensive players."

Andy Carroll will look back on this match with fondness (not sure he pulled off that knee slide celebration, though), but the former Liverpool and Newcastle forward has been out of the picture of late and only makes the bench for this afternoon's tie.

In his pre-match press conference, Pellegrini said: "This year we have demonstrated that we can play as a big team against any team. We play for three points from the first whistle, and we will do so again against Arsenal.

"I insist on the big team mentality because we are in a big club with 60,000 people behind us and we want to improve.

"As a team we want to work better than we did in the first half of the season and to do that we have to beat the top clubs."

Pellegrini has been explaining Arnautovic's inclusion, after his brother told newspapers that the Austrian international wants to leave.

"Marko had a complete week with the squad," Pellegrini said, stressing how important he remains to the club.

Ozil is reportedly fit having recovered from injury but doesn't even make the bench. Ramsey IS on the bench as transfer speculation over his future continues.

In total there are three changes to the team that started the victory over Blackpool, with Sokratis, Ainsley Maitland-Niles and Alex Iwobi the only players to retain their place.

Arnatovic is reportedly unhappy at West Ham and wants a move this transfer window, but Manuel Pellegrini starts the Austrian. He is joined by Nasri in the starting XI, who makes his league debut for the Hammers against his former club.
