Watford gave it a real go in the second half. For a moment, it seemed that they might stand a chance of turning this match around and salvaging a place in the Premier League for next season, but they simply dug themselves too big a hole by going three goals down in the first half.

AUBMEYANG... SAVED! Nketiah was through on goal, he passed to Aubameyang rather than taking on the effort himself and Foster makes the save! Why didn't Nketiah shoot? He was in the much better position!

Welbeck surely thought he'd scored. The backheel flick might have looked flamboyant, but it was the best way for him to get an effort on goal and he got some power on it as well!
