Hello and welcome to Eurosport's LIVE text commentary of the Premier League clash between Brighton and Tottenham. Well, this will be an interesting one. Coming into the game off the back of THAT 7-2 thrashing at the hands of German champions Bayern Munich, Mauricio Pochettino simply must get a response from his fragile players. Spurs haven't won on the road in the league since January - now would be a reasonably good time to do just that.

Paulo Gazzaniga is in the Spurs goal and immediately he has a corner to defend. The ball is played to Stephens on the edge of the box and his volley is destined for the top corner but Vertonghen throws his head in the way, deflecting it behind for another corner.

GOAL! Brighton 1-0 Tottenham: Another blunder by Lloris gifts Brighton the lead! It's the worst possible start for Spurs! Gross sends a cross comes in from the left, he gets caught in two minds and ends up dropping the ball in front of Maupay who is left with the easiest of finishes! To make matters worse, the Spurs keeper has hurt himself and will have to be taken off.

Brighton haven't found the net in four of their seven league games this season, but even they would have been licking their lips at Tottenham's capitulation on Tuesday night.

Five minutes to go...it's Brighton versus Tottenham, it's next and it's LIVE!

Pochettino has been speaking to BT Sport. "Tuesday was a difficult defeat, but this is another competition and we are ready. The rumours and opinions are normal. We need to remember it was only one game, it's important to move on. You have to be ready after a few days."
12:20
There are only TEN minutes until kick-off now and the atmosphere is building nicely at the Amex. Even at this early stage of the season, this feels like a must-win for Pochettino. The three points would move Spurs back into the top four.

Tried and trusted.

Lucas Moura has once again been left out of the Tottenham team, which is a bit odd. He scored a number of important goals last season and his talent is clear to see. At least he's an option off the bench if the game isn't going to plan.
12:10
Tottenham's struggles are well documented, but Brighton aren't in good form either. They have won just once this season - and that came on the opening day against a poor Watford side. They haven't won in their last eight league games at home and furthermore, they haven't scored more than once in any of their last 15 matches here at the Amex.

The rumours continue at Tottenham...

Pochettino was asked if he still believes in his players ahead of this game. "Yes, I really believe. I have no doubt the players always want to do their best to win." On Brighton, he said: "My wish is to beat Brighton. I respect them and it will be difficult. I hope it's a good moment to go there and win and with quality."
11:55
One change for Brighton from their 2-0 defeat at Chelsea last weekend, with Aaron Connolly handed a first league start, replacing Yves Bissouma.
