Everton's away form has been horrible recently, but at home they're aiming for a seventh consecutive victory. Today they come up against a brave Sheffield United side full of confidence after making a bright start to the top-flight, including a fine 2-2 draw at Chelsea.

The corner delivery is sent in but Kean is penalised for a foul on Basham, allowing Sheffield United some respite.

Bernard nutmegs Basham at the by-line before he's closed down, winning Everton their fifth corner of the game.

And that's an even worse effort from Kean. Sigurdsson is screaming for it on the right but the youngster balloons a shot over the stadium 25 yards out.

Bicycle-kick by Ricarlison! Sigurdsson crosses, the Brazilian tries the spectacular but that's not even close to troubling Henderson.

Better from Everton, good width. Digne is fed on the overlap and he sends over a good cross. But Sheffield United have been well organised in defence and the ball is punched behind by Henderson.

Jagielka is warming up on the sidelines, drawing warm applause from the home supporters.

A lull in the game but Sheffield United will be pleased with their start here. Henderson hasn't been tested in goal yet. Well, not really.

Handbags! It's all getting a little heated. Bernard is accused of an elbow on Baldock who reacts by pushing the Everton defender. They share a hug but the referee gives both players a booking.

Dear me... Man City are FIVE goals up on Watford with just 18 minutes played!

Save! Everton conjure up a free-flowing move, the ball is worked to Digne whose shot from distance is pushed wide by Henderson in the United goal.

Yellow card! Norwood goes into the book for a late challenge on Delph. The Sheffield United captain is walking on egg shells very early on.

Everton in control of midfield as Schneiderlin wins the ball back in the middle. Coleman stands up a cross into the box, Kean pulls away from his marker, but Basham intervenes with a headed clearance.

Kean goes to ground on the right but the referee Simon Hooper gives the foul against the Everton forward. He had his arms all over his marker.

The ball bobbles around the edge of the penalty area, Schneiderlin lets fly with a volley, it takes a deflection off Flack and Everton have their second corner of the game.

Richarlison is allowed to drop into space, turn and whip a lovely cross to the back post. No one in blue gambles, however, and the ball rolls out for a goal-kick.

Neither goalkeeper has been called into action just yet. Lots of passing and movement from both sides, but the final ball has been lacking.

Sheffield United work the ball into the opposition box for the first time, as Baldock delivers one to the far post where Coleman rises highest to clear.

Over! Richarlison skips past Basham, opening up an angle for a shot, but he blazes his right-footed effort over the bar. Everton have started on the front foot, though.

Sigurdsson and Richarlison link up well on the flank, with the Brazilian forcing a corner with his blocked cross. Sigurdsson delivers, searching for Mina, but he can't quite reach it and Sheffield clear their lines.

Is this a must-win game for Everton and Marco Silva? Man City are up next after today...
