Leicester win a throw highup on the pitch. Praet skids a fierce cross into the air, but it's too fast for anyone to reach. A moment earlier, Justin is cleaned out by Gilbert in the box, and got a toe to the bal beforehand. That was close.

Villa praise their 'keeper for the earlier save.

Rodgers comes out to educate his players from the technical area.

Another chance for Leicester from a corner. Soyuncu leaps at the back post to meet Maddison's cross to thunder his effort over.

The pace is so sluggish so far.

An even start to the game apart from those two chances in quick succession.

A reminder of the tactics.

Maddison's corner swings into the six yard box and Evans leaps into the path of it to thunder the ball into the legs of Reina.

Catastrophe averted as Engel s glances a bouncing through ball behind, but it's just a yard wide of his near post.

Samatta leads the line for Villa. Alongside him to give support is Grealish, who had a miserable time of the League Cup final match against Manchester City. He has been accused of being a flat-track bully - unfair for a young player without too much top level experience - but that means he is damned if he does and if he doesn't tonight.
19:30
Let's get tactical: Iheanacho leads the line instead of Vardy, so they will be an altogether less irritating proposition for the Villa defence. Having said that, Iheanacho has started improving at a fair clip under Rodgers so this is not the positive it once would have been for the opposition.
19:25
And the Villa: Reina, Guilbert, Engels, Mings, Targett, Luiz, Nakamba, Hourihane, Elmohamady, Samatta, Grealish. Subs: Nyland, Konsa, Taylor, Drinkwater, El Ghazi, Trezeguet, Davis.
19:20
Here's the Leicester line-up: Schmeichel, Evans, Soyuncu, Justin, Ndidi, Praet, Maddison, Barnes, Albrighton, Iheanacho.
