Mane goes close again! Now he's in the mood! He comes in off the left, playing a lovely one-two with Firmino but he doesn't have the clinical finish this time, shooting straight at Schmeichel.

Anfield has lift off!

GOAL! Liverpool 1-0 Leicester: On his 100th appearance, Mane bags his 50th for the club to give the Reds the lead! It's a terrific pass from Milner which catches Evans cold, Mane stays calm and finishes with aplomb.

Yellow card! Fabinho is booked for a cynical foul on Maddison.

Great save! Chilwell swings a lovely cross into the box and Soyuncu powers a header, forcing Adrian into a great save. Wouldn't have counted though, the defender was just offside.

Yellow card! Alexander-Arnold is booked for a high challenge on Tielemans. He caught him on the Achilles, but the Anfield faithful aren't happy - they feel he's making a mountain of a mole-hill.

Chance for Liverpool! Alexander-Arnold bends another excellent delivery into the box. Firmino watches it all the way but can't keep his effort down. The Reds haven't really tested Schmeichel yet.

Yellow card! The ball goes out of play, allowing Chris Kavanagh to book Ndidi for his earlier foul.

Ndidi clatters Milner on the half-way line, but the advantage continues. Mane drives forward, creating an opening for a shot from the edge of the area but it's straight down the throat of Schmeichel.

Leicester work the corner short to Chilwell, who makes a run towards the penalty area. He's stopped by a wonderful challenge from Mane, however, which draws huge cheers from the Anfield faithful.

Liverpool can only half clear the corner. Praet curls it in from the right and Lovren takes no chances, heading it over his own bar. This is a decent spell of pressure from the Foxes.

Excellent pressing from Praet. He doesn't give up, winning the ball from Milner before forcing Leicester's first corner of the match.

Tielemans is running towards his own goal when he's hacked down by Mane who sensed an opportunity. The free-kick is given to Leicester, much to the frustration of the home supporters.

Leicester are trying their hardest to get Maddison involved in the final third. He's the creative spark in their midfield.

A loose ball in midfield is keenly contested by Barnes and Milner, the former catching the latter with a slightly late tackle. It's a foul, nothing more.

Milner's sloppy pass gives Maddison a chance to run at the Liverpool defence. He tries to slip it through to Vardy but the pass is poor.

Leicester have stood up well to the Reds' attacking threat so far. Soyuncu has been alert to everything.

There's a nice move from Leicester going forward. Vardy plays a lovely ball to Barnes on the right, who tries to cut it back for Maddison. Alexander-Arnold nips in to steal the pass, however.

Big chance! Alexander-Arnold nutmegs Chilwell on the flank and stands up a beautiful cross to Milner at the back post. It's begging to be finished but the 34-year-old volleys over the top of the bar.

Wijnaldum drives Liverpool forward before trying to thread it through to Mane on the right. Soyuncu reads the situation and races across to clear his lines.
