Hello and welcome! Liverpool's title tilt goes on with a home clash against Southampton. Can they extend their already-long winning streak and tilt towards the Premier League title?

And that's full-time. Liverpool were some way off their best before the break but a fine second-half performance from Jurgen Klopp's men has taken them one step closer to the title. It's 16 wins in a row and Arsenal's 49-match unbeaten record in the Premier League will also be in their sights. Who can stop them?

GOAL!

It's 4-0 now and the wheels have well and truly come off for Southampton now.

Firmino completes his hat-trick off assists, collecting Salah's though ball, holding it up, and squaring it for the Egyptian, who bundles it in.

Jordan Henderson comes off to a rousing reception from the whole of the Anfield faithful. Adam Lallana gets a run-out against his old club.

What. A. Miss.

Salah goes on a brilliant run and elects to pass rather than shoot. Minamino and Keita get in each other's ways before the latter blasts it over. The new signing was in a far better position to score.

While the mood inside Anfield is jubilant now, we get the odd reminder of the trouble Southampton caused Liverpool in the first half. There's almost a mix-up between Alisson and Gomez before the English defender is forced to shepherd the ball behind, away from Bertrand, who tries to latch on to Adams' pass.

Fabinho tries his luck from all of 30 yards but it goes just high and wide.

Liverpool are going for the jugular now. Firmino almost gets on the scoresheet for a rare Anfield goal but is denied by McCarthy.

And with that, Liverpool fans are singing "We're going to win the league". It's hard to disagree.

Liverpool have put this game well and truly to bed now. Alisson finds Henderson in the right-wing channel and Henderson hooks the ball into the path of Salah, who lifts the ball gratefully over the onrushing McCarthy.

Danny Ings comes off to a warm reception from everyone in the stadium. He's certainly been Southampton's most dangerous player today.

Southampton have responded really well to that double blow. Ings holds the ball up well and tries to chip a reverse pass into the path of Shane Long. Van Dijk is there to mop up, though.

Their position is perilous, but Southampton are continuing to go for the win. Ings feeds Hojbjerg, who shoots but Gomez deflects it wide.

GOAL!

Liverpool have a second, and surely the win, now! Firmino is again the provider, picking up a long ball and cutting back to Henderson, who makes no mistake to get another goal!

Ings has been impressive today, this time he holds the ball up well, works himself a yard of space and shoots wide, with his effort taking a deflection.

GOA... No...

Salah latches on to Henderson's through ball and finishes beyond McCarthy but is flagged for offside. VAR takes a look and even though it was not as obvious as it first seems, the correct decision was made.

So is that the scare over for Liverpool? Southampton have responded well after going behind and have tried to trouble Liverpool as they did in the first half, but to no avail.

Liverpool go from end to end. Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain cuts inside after collecting Firmino's flick, picks his spot and drives to score against his old club. Ings is furious after being denied a penalty.
