Salah feeds Robertson on the right edge of the area, but the full back's curving effort flies just over the top.

Liverpool come again and Cresswell has to be alert to nod behind as he scampers backwards to beat Salah to a raking cross-field pass from van Dijk.

As you would expect, Liverpool with all of the ball so far. Robertson teases a cross towards the near post, but Diop is there to sweep it away. West Ham then clear the resulting corner.

DID YOU KNOW? West Ham have won once in 46 league trips to Anfield. Prior to a surprise 3-0 victory in 2015, Geoff Hurst and Martin Peters were the last Hammers to score in a winning visit, doing so in September 1963.

Gini Wijnaldum on Liverpool's 2-0 victory at West Ham last month: "When we played away it was already a difficult game – they dropped deep, they made it difficult for us to play our football. I think they're going to try to do that again. Every situation is different, we just have to deal with the situation we will be in at that moment."

Lukasz Fabianski: "Obviously we’re in a difficult situation, a difficult position in the table, but it’s about trying to focus on what’s left in the league, trying to get as many points as we can, and making sure we stay in the league – that’s the main thing."

Jurgen Klopp on the loss to Atletico Madrid last time out: "It's really from sunshine to hardest rain - and that's how it should be. If you really want to be successful and if you could be successful - what we could have been in that game - then it has to feel really bad and that's how it felt. So yes, we want to put things right, even when it's a different competition."

Moyes: "It's never an easy place for any manager or team to go but we'll go there and do everything we can to get a result. We've been in a difficult period of games, which I think is quite noticeable, but the players have done a good job."

So, Moyes is hoping for a first win at Anfield at the 16th time of asking as a manager. It's a big, big ask as the Hammers have not won in seven in all competitions and have managed just two victories in nine outings since he was appointed West Ham boss for a second time in late December. Contrast that with the impact Mikel Arteta has had in a similar period in charge at Arsenal (random plug for piece written yesterday - ahem).
