Liverpool seem pretty unstoppable at the minute, coming back from their victory in the Club World Cup, just over a week ago, to absolutely trounce second place Leicester 4-0 at the King Power Stadium.

Wolves can go into today's match with perhaps more confidence than they might otherwise have had, though Liverpool will no doubt remain a daunting opposition.

Wolves are currently in seventh place and while a Champions League place probably isn't a realistic target this season, improving on last season's finish of seventh place perhaps might be.

Guardiola was of course speaking after hi side's defeat by Wolves at the Molineux Stadium on Friday night. It was quite the night for Wolves who overturned a 2-0 deficit to win 3-2.

Liverpool are sitting pretty at the top of the Premier League table with a buffer zone of ten points and - going into today's match - two games in hand. Their lead over second place Leicester (who have 42 points btw) is such that Pep Guardiola has deemed the title race to be already over.

Nuno Espirito Santo makes four changes to his visiting side that had a shock win against Manchester City no Friday. Ryan Bennett, Maximilian Kilman, Ruben Vinagre and Pedrio Neto step up to replace Matt Doherty, Romain Saiss, Adama Traore and Raul Jimenez.

Just one change for the home side today as Adam Lallana comes on to replace Naby Keita for Liverpool. Meanwhile Xherdan Shaqiri is out of action with muscle strain, so youngster Harvey Elliott is on the bench.
