United have started well here, and Fosu-Mensah finds Fernandes on the right touchline, who swerves a good pass into space for Martial. With no one up with him, he's forced to shoot, swatting a low one through Diop's legs that Fabianski has to palm away.

A good early interception from Matic, who reappears further up the pitch to spread play right for Fosu-Mensah. United keep the ball moving - this is a good passage - before Williams botches a ball to Rashford, who winds up in an offside position as a consequence.

Off we go...
18:01
The players and officials take a knee. All black lives matter.
17:59
The players gather around the centre-circle to remember the life of Alex Dawson, one of the Busby Babes.
17:58
Gary Neville notes that if you leave a keeper out, there can be no coming back - and, as we discussed below, United and De Gea are stuck with each other.
17:57
...and here come United.
17:55
Here come West Ham...
17:53
It's very noticeable that Moyes has now settled on players he can trust, rather than players who have talent. There's no way Anderson and Lanzini aren't good enough to get into this team, but only if they want to be good enough.

17:48
Against both Southampton and Chelsea, United struggled to get their passing going because they were pressed vigorously. I doubt West Ham have the legs or inclination to do that, but at the right time, it might win them the ball in dangerous areas.
17:47
On Sky, James Collins is talking about how well Soucek and Bowen are doing, both players signed by Moyes. United will back themselves to handle Bowen, but that screen of Soucek and Rice will force Fernandes to go hunting for space away from his usual spot.
17:44
David Moyes tells Sky that his team are doing most things a little bit better, which explains their recent form, but making and taking chances is the most significant. He says United have built a team and praises them for using their academy so well. He manages not to say how unfair it was that he was sacked for doing his job horrifically badly.
17:40
Though various of United's players have looked tired lately, Anthony Martial and Marcus Rashford are both in great nick. They've formed a great triangle down the left with Luke Shaw; Brandon Williams will need to get forward to compensate for his absence.
17:38
United could use a decent game from Paul Pogba, who's not played especially well lately. They're extremely reliant on him to get their moves moving, and if he can help the four players ahead of him enough of the ball, West Ham are in for a hard night.
17:35
More than anything.
17:35
17:32
It turns out Wan-Bissaka got a knock against Chelsea, but I still think that's a good call from Solskjaer, he'll be relieved to know.

17:26
But United's attackers are good enough to take any defence apart, and are likely to put together five or six brilliant sequences in any game they play. West Ham will need to defend assiduously, and hope United's finishing isn't on point to get something.
17:23
West Ham are more than capable of aggravating United tonight. Michail Antonio is in brilliant form and neither Victor Lindelof nor Harry Maguire are entirely equipped to deal with his cleverness, physicality and speed. And behind him, Declan Rice is also in fine form. He'll need to watch Bruno Fernandes, but Fernandes has lost a step with overplay, and is now flitting in and out of games, rather than bossing them. If he can kept quiet, United will struggle to create.
