They were far from their best and it took a goalkeeping error for them to take the lead, but Klopp will feel his side showed good character. The Blades will rue missed opportunities and fell very unlucky.

Clarke replaces Norwood in an attacking swap. This is Carke's first Premier League appearance.

GOAL! Sheffield United 0-1 Liverpool (Wijnaldum). What a howler! A clearance falls to Wijnaldum, 20 yards from goal, and he strikes the ball well enough but straight at Henderson. However, the goalkeeper lets the ball squirm through his legs and Liverpool lead.

He covered a lot of ground to get there. Brilliant.

The Blades have a huge chance as Fleck carries the ball into the box, dummies past one defender and then shoots, but Robertson makes a great block and Van Dijk then does the same on the rebound.

Salah cannot take down a through ball as Egan sticks to him like glue.

A good 35 yards from goal, the crowd urge Norwood to shoot and he follows that advice, producing a dipping effort that Adrian tips around the post.

This is a bold move from Klopp. Henderson is replaced by Origi as Liverpool press for a winner.
