Good evening and welcome to live coverage of Southampton versus West Ham United in today’s early evening kick-off in the Premier League. Teams to follow shortly.

West Ham are in front, and it's beautifully worked. Antonio gets to the byline on the right, and cuts it back to Snodgrass. He crosses first time to Fornals at the back post, who nods it back to Haller. The forward shoots first time, and it hits the post and goes in.

Hojbjerg lets a pass slide under his foot and it falls to Haller. As the forward tries to break away, Hojbjerg brings him down and is booked.

Long and Ings combine, with the former trying to slide the latter through into the West Ham area, but the pass is slightly overhit and Ings hooks his sliding cross into the arms of Martin.

Redmond tries to dance past three and into the West Ham area. He almost makes it, but loses control of the ball at the last moment and it goes out for a goal kick.

West Ham win a corner, as Stephens and Antonio contest a header and Cedric puts the loose ball behind.

From the replay it seems that Antonio was wrestled to the floor off the ball too, as he attacked the same ball as Haller.

West Ham's players are screaming for a penalty here, and it's being reviewed. A Snodgrass cross from the left was flying at Haller in the six-yard box; Bertrand runs into the back of him and clatters him to the floor. The official decision after review is no penalty. You've seen those given, as the saying goes.

Snodgrass and Noble try the old Beckham-to-Scholes-volley-from-the-edge-of-the-area routine, but it fails as West Ham's captain connects horribly and his sliced effort is cleared by Southampton.

Free-kick in a good position on the left for West Ham, as Djenepo brings down Cresswell.

A cross from Bertrand finds Cedric free at the back post, but he manufactures an air shot from what looked a simple chance to volley a dangerous ball back across the six-yard box.

There's not much heat under this yet; both sides look low on confidence which is understandable given their respective positions.

Haller wins the ball back for West Ham, and plays a quick pass to Antonio. For a split second the striker looks to have space to run through on goal, but accidentally handles the ball and Southampton get the free-kick.

A nice back flick from Haller puts Snodgrass into space between the Southampton midfield and defence. He tries to drive at goal but overruns it, and Southampton clear.

Hojbjerg hits a looping cross from the left to Long at the back post; he heads it at goal but can't get any power on it. Martin, at the second attempt, gathers the ball.

A corner for Southampton, but the ball in from Ward-Prowse is cleared at the back post.

West Ham win a quick couple of corners in a row, with Antonio to the fore here. They've started well. Antonio then puts in a defensive shift by chasing back to tackle the breaking Redmond and put the ball out for a throw-in.

CHANCE! Antonio gets in space again, this time down the right. He fires a low cross into the area to Fornals, whose first time shot from eight yards is partially blocked by Cedric and trickles a yard wide of the post.

A determined run from Antonio down the left wins a corner for West Ham. Snodgrass whips it in but Southampton, after a couple of attempts, clear their lines.

Some nice interplay from Southampton releases Redmond into space on the left, but his low cross into the West Ham area is cleared easily.

It's in, as Snodgrass whips it in and Rice nods it in from six yards, but Rice had gone too early and is a yard offside. The linesman had caught it and VAR confirms the goal is disallowed.

A free-kick for West Ham on the edge the Southampton area to the left as Stephens fouls Antonio, who'd spun away from him expertly.
