What a game that was, and what an affirming comeback that was from Watford. Arsenal move seventh, level on points with Spurs who are third, and Watford, still without a win this season, stay bottom a point behind Wolves.

Here come Watford again, Doucoure charging through the middle like a buffalo gazelle and finding Sarr down the right. His return cross is perfect and Doucoure meets it perfectly, punching a sidefooter without breaking stride ... straight at Leno! That was so good, but that was suuuuch a chance!

Watford storm downfield, Arsenal counter, and Capoue hauls down Aubameyang. He's booked.

Xhaka drives forward, then gives the ball away, then Doucoure does likewise and smashes into Sokratis! What a tempo we have now!

But here come Arsenal, Pepe finding Willock who diddles Femenia inside and out then stands up a cross ... which Xhaka cant control. Who knew.

Arsenal win a free-kick 40 yards from goal which, by the standards of the half, amounts to a chance. Obviously Xhaka whacks it at the nearest defender and Watford break, but Sarr can't find a man when he squares into the middle.

You hate to see it.

Watford have Arsenal pinned in their own box, as Cleverely picks up a block and lamps just over the bar. He's played pretty well today.

Watford nearly lead! Janmaat crosses low, Cleverley's shot is blocked, and Deulofeu puts another low one just past the far post. Arsenal are miserable!

Arsenal don't appear to have a plan beyond hoping one of the better players does something.

GOAL! Watford 2-2 Arsenal (Pereyra pen) Leno dives right and Pereyra goes left. Watfrod have earned the hell outta that, and there's still time for a winner!

PENALTY TO ARSENAL! Pereyra runs at Luiz, nips across him into the box, and yerman can't help but bring him down. Of course he can't!

Pepe, who's hardly had a kick this half, bursts at the Watford defence, and when the ball bobbles up, Torreira belts it at goal; Foster parries clear.

Change for Watford, Janmaat replacing Holebas.

Doucoure plays a pass down the side of Luiz for Cleverley; Luiz gets there first, then rides the inevitable foul, having a little lie down to waste as much time as possible. Then Leno takes ages over clearing and is booked.

A low cross into the Arsenal box causes minor panic, but Sarr can't profit and they get it away eventually.

The changes might just be helping Arsenal, Nelson finding Aubameyang, who we've not seen in time. He jinks about the right side of the box before playing his man back in; the feet are fast but not fast enough, and Kabasele clears.
