It's worth noting that Watford are missing Deulofeu, their most likely goal-creator and second most likely goalscorer (apart from Craig Dawson). But here comes Saar, luring in Lewis and going by him, crossing to the near post looking for Deeney ... Krul and Godfrey both lunge for it ... and the latter puts it behind for a corner that comes to nothing.

Hernandez drops a shoulder and makes room to come inside, then Norwich work the ball about before Stipermann overhits a through-pass intended for Pukki.

Talking of Hughes, he's one of the better midfielders in the bottom half. If I was a team trying to get to mid-table, I'd be wondering if I could buy him.

Will Hughes gets on the ball in midfield but when he loses it, the ref penalises Klose for fouling Deeney a second or so earlier. Nothing comes of the free-kick.

Watford look dangerous down both flanks, Welbeck almost working himself free down the left. The passing of both teams is pretty sharp now.

Sarr wins space down the right, and Lewis yanks him back; he's booked. I don't suppose he can argue, but it was harsh. Free-kick Watford, from a good position to deliver a cross....

That really is a dreadful , confidence-klling start for Watford.

Norwich gets the ball out to Hernandez, who draws in Femenia then cruises by him on the outside, drawing a foul near the left corner of the box. Buendia fancies it...
