Sterling had to score there. He tried to do what Minamino did for Southampton yesterday after De Bruyne played him in with a wonderful through-ball but after turning inside Bellerin he lost control and Leno was able to claim.

De Bruyne and Mahrez combing on the right flank. The Belgian puts in a low ball across the six-yard box that Arsenal clear.

GOAL FOR CITY! You can't say they weren't warned. Mahrez crossed again from the right wing and Sterling this time in the centre of the goal leaped high and flicked perfectly just inside the post.

City immediately in attack. Mahrez crossed to the back post where Sterling twice failed to get a good contact on a shot at goal.

City get us underway...

Arsenal can be bet on at over 6/1 at home. I'm going to guess they can't have been close to that ever. City backable at 1/2.

So there is some positive news for Arsenal going into the game. They'll need it looking at this stat. Interesting the last run of this type came against Leeds during the turbulent Revie-Clough-Armfield years.
16:01
With City's minds at least half on their Champions League tie, is this when their 12-match winning run stops. At least the Gunners come in full of confidence after Aubameyang's hat-trick in the 4-2 win over Leeds.
15:54
Five changes for the Gunners too.Holding, Pablo and Tierney in for David Luiz, Grabiel and Cedric in defence. Elneny replaces Ceballos and Pepe starts instead of Smith-Rowe - a little disappointingly.
15:49
Overall City have made five changes from the side that beat Everton in midweek. Stones comes in for laporte. Zinchenko for Walker with Cancelo moving to right back, Fernandinhgo replacing Rodri, as well as the 2021 Premier League MVP Gundogan and De Bruyne in for Jesus and Foden. Incredible strength in depth.
15:40
CIty are away at Borussia Monchengladbach on Wednesday which may explain Phil Foden being rested today. Imagine thinking a few years ago they'd rest him and bring in De Bruyne.
15:32
And here is how Manchester City will take the field. Including the welcome return of the Premier League's best player - how they've missed him.
15:31
This is how Arsenal are lining up against the champions elect.
