Hello and welcome to Eurosport's LIVE text commentary of the Premier League clash between Arsenal and Sheffield United. Mikel Arteta's side is hoping to bounce back after a defeat to Liverpool in the league last time out, and although the Gunners advanced in the Carabao Cup at the expense of the Reds on Thursday, it's points in the league that will matter most to Arteta. Sheffield United, meanwhile, are pointless after three games, but having drawn with Arsenal 1-1- back in January, Chris Wilder's men may well push them close again.

Pre-match stat: Arsenal's last victory over Sheffield United in the Premier League was back in September 2006 (3-0) - they are winless in their three meetings in the competition since (D1 L2), with their only goal in this run coming in the 1-1 draw at the Emirates last season.

The Blades are pointless and haven't scored a goal in their opening three games, but Wilder is confident his side will improve. "Our performances have not been too bad", he said. I don't think even the most critical of Sheffield United supporters can look back at those three games and think we're out of our depth and we're getting smashed left, right and centre. I'm saying the same things possibly every Sheffield United supporter is saying – we need to be clinical in both boxes."

Arteta on Sheffield United: "The margins in the league of winning, drawing and losing are really small and the details are crucial, but they have generated big chances every game and they've been really unlucky in my opinion not to get anything out of those games. We need to be really alert and we have to play at our best again."

Just the one change from the Sheffield United side that lost 1-0 to Leeds last Sunday, with John Egan returning from suspension to replace Ethan Ampadu. New signing Rhian Brewster is not involved today as his registration from Liverpool was not completed in time.
