El Ghazi ruled out with an infected toe. Dean Smith says he damaged a toe, it got infected and now he can't get a boot on. Not being able to put a boot on is a bit of an issue for a footballer.

Willian Jose will be charged with the task of supplying the goals for Wolves, while at the back Willy Boly is available following a month out with a hamstring problem, but has to make do with a place on the bench for the second game in a row.

There was plenty of talk pre-game as to whether Jack Grealish would feature. Villa boss Dean Smith was downbeat about the prospect in his press conference, and that was proved to be correct with the England international missing his fourth game in a row. Sanson is one of three changes, along with Douglas Luiz and Trezeguet for Nakamba, Ramsey and El Ghazi.
