Dyche is hopeful that Pope’s shoulder injury is nothing serious. Peacock-Farrell is inexperienced in the Premier League, but is an established international for Northern Ireland so is not a bad deputy to call on.

Bruce on Wilson and ASM being on the bench: “It was difficult. These days, we’ve got to be 100% that they are 100% right. They have been training great, but you can’t replicate a game.
“It’s a bit of caution, but they could be ready to come on and win us the game.”
On Lascelles’ injury: “Jamaal has picked up a stress fracture to his foot.”

Federico Fernandes and Ciaran Clark have been drafted in for Emil Krafth and Jamaal Lascelles at the back. The loss of Lascelles is a huge blow for the Magpies as he is the glue that binds their defence together.
11:10
Burnley have only one win to their name from their last seven games, although four draws in that run have kept their heads above water. Sean Dyche will look for his side to take the game to a shaky Newcastle, but losing England international goalkeeper Nick Pope to injury is a massive blow.

The visitors’ starting XI is out, and Dwight Gayle leads the line - with Callum Wilson on the bench, alongside Allan Saint-Maximin

Here’s the starting XI for the home side, with Bailey Peacock-Farrell handed his home Premier League debut
