Everton are looking very comfortable at the moment, knocking the ball around with ease. Southampton are struggling to retain the ball themselves. Just how big a loss will Oriol Romeu prove to be? A central midfield pairing of Ward-Prowse and Armstrong is very attacking.

GOAL!! Richarlison breaks the deadlock! Sigurdsson plays an incisive pass between Vestergaard and Bertrand and the Brazilian meets it before rounding Forster to slot home his fifth Premier League goal of the season. He has scored in three consecutive Premier League games for Everton for the first time since December 2019.

Captain James Ward-Prowse said pre-match: "There's a lot of anger and disappointment in terms of the recent run of results. And we're keen to make amends for that.
"The only way to get out of a difficult situation is to keep believing in what we're doing and work incredibly hard."

Southampton midfielder Oriol Romeu has been ruled out for the remainder of the season with an ankle injury which will need surgery, manager Ralph Hasenhuttl said on Friday. The 29-year-old Spanish player is out injured for three months, meaning he will miss the fixtures left on the schedule list in the Premier League.

It's three changes to the Southampton team that lost 3-0 to Leeds.
Fraser Forster, Moussa Djenepo and Danny Ings all come into the side for Alex McCarthy, Nathan Tella and Oriol Romeu. Romeu will miss the rest of the season with an ankle injury which requires surgery. It's fair to say Southampton's lineup is rather attacking.
