31'
A first corner! Everton's Sigurdsson to take.
29'
Really not the best game to be watching for the neutral yet - no clear-cut chances for either side, and another quarter-chance if you will, goes begging after a positive drive from Doucoure and poor pass from Sigurdsson allows Longstaff to clear down field.
26'
A really dire first half of football thus far. Neither side have really been able to keep possession to materialise a chance.
21'
Everton are struggling to break down the Newcastle lines here - there's plenty of possession in front of the Magpies wall, but there's no-one offering a run in behind; and here we can see the problem of fielding five natural central midfielders
19'
It's very interesting to note the dropping in of Doucoure and Delph in the full-back berths at present - really allowing for Nkounkou and Kenny to maintain the width and get into promising crossing positions to give Calvert-Lewin some service.
17'
Neither side has really got into a good rhythm of yet - Everton not getting the ball anywhere near Calvert-Lewin, and Newcastle's patterns of play haven't been penetrating enough to bypass the Everton midfield.
13'
Saint-Maximin really thrives in this system just behind the striker - he has the licence to roam when and where he pleases, dropping deep at times to get involved before suddenly exploding in behind or in the dribble.
10'
A promising Newcastle move down the left is halted by a silly foul from Almiron on Doucoure.
8'
Doucoure is very much in the role that he had at Watford... he is the number 10 now, with Sigurdsson drifting wide to create in the half-space. The Frenchman is there for more athleticism and dynamism in the press and the transition.
6'
A cute flick around the corner from Sigurdsson is cut out by Lascelles, and Newcastle can come forwards... it's knocked forwards into the right-hand channel by Schar into the path of Wilson, who strikes over.
4'
Everton the more ball-playing side in these first five minutes, looking to play out from the back, through midfield and through the Newcastle lines, with Gomes and Sigurdsson wanting to pick up space in the pockets.
3'
Newcastle with a very direct mentality from the off here, looking for the threat of Wilson and Saint-Maximin in behind, willing to see if Michael Keane and Yerry Mina want to step in and try and play them offside.
2'
A 4-2-3-1 for Everton - Gomes to the left where Richarlison would be, Doucoure off the right and Sigurdsson behind Calvert-Lewin. Delph and Allan the double pivot, allowing for Kenny and Nkounkou to push forwards from full-back.

I've channelled my inner Fabrizio Romano: Here we go!
13:59
A moment's silence for those we lost during the World Wars, and for the late Nobby Stiles. Lest we forget.
13:56
The players are out, the excitement builds.
13:55
FIve minute warning to kick off. Five minutes, I say.
13:47
20-year old Nkounkou is set to make his Premier League bow for the Toffees since his under-the-radar summer move, and after three impressive League Cup appearances for Everton, he's set to make his league debut.
13:45
It also must be noted that Everton are without their two primary full-backs Seamus Coleman and Lucas Digne today, and Ancelotti has brought in Jonjoe Kenny and Niels Nkounkou, with the two youngsters drafted in needing to cope with the threat of Saint-Maximin and Almiron either side.
13:43
Steve Bruce has acknowledged Everton's "strength in depth" and is "interested to see how [the Toffees] line up."
13:41
All eyes are on Everton's number nine - can he overtake Heung-Min Son in the top goalscorer charts by notching a couple today? The hotshot has seven goals to his name this term, and could well fancy his chances today, and will surely be raring to go after drawing a blank at St Mary's last time out.
