Pepe leaves it neatly for Smith Rowe after a surging run. The space is worked nicely but the cross is poor.

A 30-yard drive from Partey hits the goal scorer Aubameyang. It shouldn't be, but it's always funny. All Arsenal at this point.
21'
Smith Rowe ignores all invitations to pass the ball to Pepe or Saka and his tame shot is dutifully collected. He receives an earful for not playing in his teammates with nothing but green turf in front of them.
18'
Palace finding their feet with some neat passing in midfield. The ball pops out to the left wing - Wilfried Zaha territory - but his understudy Edouard does nothing with the cross.
15'
That would have been some strike if it had crept in. In the end, it didn't matter.
13'
Aubameyang has now scored 50 per cent of Arsenal's goals this season (three). He's down receiving treatment so Arteta will hope he springs back.
11'
Benteke does brilliantly with some quick feet in the Arsenal box but goes down far too easily for ref Mike Dean. Even he looks surprised he almost wriggled through.

That goal was all about Pepe's quick thinking and rapid feet. He made the space for the shot after a poor corner with a lovely shimmy.
7'
GOAL Odegaard takes a corner that flies over everyone but the ball comes back with interest and Guaita tips the shot onto the post. The keeper is desperately unlucky as he can not beat the onrushing Aubameyang who finishes crisply.

A beautiful take from Saka on the left results in a searching cross. Just cut out. Arsenal have a corner.

Tomiyasu has a triptych of throw-ins deep in the Crystal Palace half. Not one of them sticks.
3'
A quick break from Christian Benteke is gobbled up by Thomas Partey. He really is central to this team already.
2'
Some slick play from Arsenal in the opening exchanges. But a nonchalant back heel from Ben White sees them lose possession. Palace are going to spring quickly whenever they can.

Any threat of a quick start averted with a hoof out of play.

KICK OFF. Here we go. It's Arsenal versus Crystal Palace in the Premier League after the teams take the knee.
19:57
The teams take to the pitch! The Emirates erupts for their former player as Patrick Vieira takes his seat. It's two former captains locking horns.
19:55
Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang will be hoping to add to his goal tally but the man from Gabon is still finding his feet this season. Saka looks the most dangerous in front of goal for the Gunners.
Crystal Palace have not been famous for keeping it tight, however. Dare we dream of goals?
19:45
Just 15 minutes to go until kick-off. Vieira is set to receive a particularly warm welcome on a chilly night in north London.
19:35
Although the results have started to bend to Mikel Arteta’s will, the performances are still failing to impress. They are sitting fifteenth in terms of shots and total passes and only Norwich have scored less.
