These two sides last met at the Emirates on the final day of the 2019/20 Premier League season with Arsenal running out 3-2 winners, a result which relegated Watford to the Championship. The Gunners took a 3-0 lead thanks to a brace from Aubameyang and one from Tierney. Troy Deeney pulled a goal back for Watford from the spot, ex-Arsenal man Danny Welbeck netted a second to setup a nervous finish, but the Gunners held out for the three points which saw them finish the campaign in eighth place.
