BURNLEY VS MANCHESTER CITY: IN A GAME WITH BIG IMPLICATIONS AT BOTH ENDS OF THE TABLE, BURNLEY WELCOME MANCHESTER CITY AS THEY AIM TO RETURN TO THE TOP OF THE PREMIER LEAGUE

Despite the hosts improving in this second half, Manchester City have managed this second half incredibly well and as such, return to the top of the table.

Cornet see's his effort cleared on the line by Ake as the linesman raises his flag to signal for offside. It wouldn't have counted if it did go in, but Burnley are certinaly showing more of a threat in this half.

A long ball forward from Pope nearly makes it's way through to James Tarkowski, who is brought down under the challenge of Aymeric Laporte to big calls for a penalty from the home crowd. The claims are waved away with VAR also agreeing that no foul was committed.

A cross that's cleared by the Burnley backline finds it's way to Kyle Walker who takes a touch before firing towards goal. Pope palms it down before collecting. City are looking for a third that would surely kill the game off.

Joao Cancelo fires in a low cross that is flicked towards goal by Foden, but Pope gets down well to block the effort.

The hosts get us back underway for the second half but it's the visitors who have the first effort on goal, Rodri's effort from the edge of the box sailing over the bar.

Half-time at Turf Moor and as things stand, City are going back to the top of the league. There was a lot of pressure coming on the coming in today's game after Liverpool's win earlier, but they've dealt with it well.

City have looked very comfortable in the first 30 minutes of this game. Burnley started well but after De Bruyne's early goal, have really struggled to build any sort of momentum.

Raheem Sterling and De Bruyne work it well down the right-hand side, with the former picking out Gundogan who slots it past Pope. It's a long road back for Burnley now. What can Sean Dyche do to inspire his team now?
