In case you need a refresher on the state of play in the Premier League, Chelsea are now 11 points behind league leaders Manchester City after a defeat to West Ham and frustrating draws against Everton, Wolves and Brighton last month. Liverpool, meanwhile, are one point and one place behind their opponents in third and have a game in hand, but come into this match on the back of a 1-0 loss to Leicester.

As for the visitors, they are missing Alisson, Roberto Firmino and Joel Matip after the trio returned suspected positive tests for Covid-19. Jurgen Klopp will not be present at Stamford Bridge either, with the Reds boss also self-isolating.

NO LUKAKU FOR CHELSEA
It was widely reported that Thomas Tuchel would drop Romelu Lukaku for this game following his contentious interview with Sky Italia last week, in which he said that he was "not happy" with the situation at Chelsea. It looks like the Blues manager has done just that, with Kai Havertz leading the line and no sign of Lukaku among the subs.
