A strong spell of Liverpool pressure sees Salah and Elliott combine well down the right. The teenager clips a cross into the middle from the byline but Chelsea manage to clear their lines.

The Blues' 1-0 victory at Anfield back in March was their seventh Premier League away win against Liverpool. It's a total only bettered by Manchester United (12 wins).

KLOPP v TUCHEL: Tuchel has lost nine of his 15 matches as a manager against Klopp (W3, D3). However, he has been victorious in the last two meetings (one with Chelsea, one with Paris St-Germain).

Andreas Christensen: "We’ve looked strong but so have Liverpool so we’re expecting a tough game, like always when we go there. Both teams have looked very good from the beginning so we’ll just have to see who comes out on top."

Alissonon what it would mean if Liverpool can beat Chelsea this evening: “I think for what we believe and for what we want to achieve, it’s a good sign because you are playing one of the favourite sides in the title race and if you can beat one of these sides it’s always good for you to give confidence. It’s a good sign for everybody, not only for us, for the others.”

Thomas Tuchel: “Liverpool with Van Dijk is a different Liverpool than without Van Dijk. It’s not only his isolated capacity and level of performance but also that he makes everyone around him feel more comfortable and be stronger. Together with Matip, it is a huge upgrade to last March, and spectators back at Anfield can be a big factor as well."

Jurgen Kloppon how Liverpool can respond to a disappointing title defence last season: “We just have to get up again and go again. And with the quality we have, if we can do that then, again, the only plan was that we were always able to beat the best teams in the world, whoever that is. We never thought about being the best team in the world. Obviously in this moment nobody thinks we are the best team in the world – good – but we still want to try to beat the best teams, and Chelsea won the Champions League so there's not a lot of tournaments that are more important. So, let's give it a try.”

Andy Robertson returns from injury to start at left back for Liverpool. Elsewhere, Fabinho comes in to the holding midfield role while Roberto Firmino is given the nod in attack in place of Diogo Jota.

There's also a big show of faith in youngster, Harvey Elliott who retains a spot in midfield ahead of the likes of Thiago, Keita, Oxlade-Chamberlain and Jones.

Tsimikas, Keita and Jota are the trio who drop to the bench from the 2-0 win over Burnley.
