    WERNER OFF THE POST
What a start! Werner drives at the Southampton defence and hits a great shot across Forster from just outside the box and it cannons off the post. So close.

    TUCHEL DEMANDS BETTER
The Chelsea boss has said this on his side's back to back defeats: "It needs to stop and it doesn't feel good. We have to work hard for it and refocus.
"If you concede seven in two games you know the results. Of course it has come as a shock because we showed no signs of weakness before the international break.
"We went into the international break and things are upside down. Things are a bit strange. But we are on it and trying to get the hunger and determination back."

TRYING TO GET BACK TO WINNING WAYS
Chelsea were on the receiving end of a shock result last week as they lost 1-4 to Brentford.
Then, in the first leg of the Champions League quarter-final on Wednesday a Karim Benzema inspired Real Madrid beat them 1-3.
Two loses and to concede so many is unlike Chelsea, they will aim to put it right this afternoon to hold onto 3rd place in the Premier League table and get back in form for the second leg in Madrid and the approaching FA Cup semi-final.

    UP AND DOWN SAINTS
Ralph Hasenhuttl's have good and bad spells during the season and at the moment they're in a bad one.
They haven't won in their last five games but this weirdly came off the back of a seven match unbeaten run before.
They're in 12th place in table with nothing major to play for so the pressure is completely off especially against Chelsea. Will we see the best of the Saints today?

    CHELSEA'S STARTING XI
Timo Werner starts. Reece James is amongst the substitutes.

    SOUTHAMPTON'S STARTING XI
Armando Broja is not eligible to face his parent club so Adam Armstrong comes in to replace him.
